Welcome to ChilversNet the website of Julian and Helen Chilvers.
This new version of our website aims to be fully responsive so that it may be also viewed on mobile devices such as smart phones. The content remains the same and consists largely of family history and photos. The family history section contains stories about our ancestors and their relatives and associates and also about the places where they lived and worked. It also contains our old family photos generally arranged by family. The photos section contains albums of more recent photos arranged by both date and subject. Julian also has a photo stream on Flickr stream which can be found at Julian's Flickr Photostream
This site will continue to develop as we transfer and add more material. You can see a small sample of our family history stories below.

Ansteys in Africa
In the early 1900s a small branch of the Anstey family embarked on an ill-fated adventure to Africa. We have pieced their story together from family tales, correspondence and public records.
Inns and Public Houses
Our family has many connections with inns and public houses, mostly in Suffolk and Sussex. This article records what we have discovered about these connections in the course of our family history research. The article is not yet complete so if you know of other inns connected with our family or have any photos of or information about the ones listed here then please get in touch.
